Indonesia’s PLN opens bid for Mobile Power Plant Nias

State owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) opens tender for the development of Mobile Power Plant Nias to be deployed in Sumatera with installed capacity of 25 MW.
The bid is part of the government’s 35,000 MW acceleration program and in order to increase electric power supply to industry, businesses and households in North Sumatera.
PLN invites bidders for the design, execution and completion of the MPP Nias project which consists of EPC (engineering, procurement, and commissioning) and five years of operation and maintenance (O&M). The bidding process will be implemented in a single stage two envelopes bidding process.
The MPP Nias will be powered by gas engine or gas turbine. The project is located in Humene Vilage, Gunung Sitoli Idanoi an G. Sitoli Regency, North Sumatera province.
The scope of the works shall be on a full EPC lumpsum basis. The scope comprises of desiign, manufacture, inspection and testing at manufacture facility, packing, shipment, insurance, customs clearance, delivery to site, unloading, storing and handling at the site, complete erection, on-site testing and commissioning, performance testing, warranty, inspection prior to final acceptance of a complete plant.
The bid winner shall provide a five years term of service for operation and maintenance starting from taking over date.
Those eligible for the bidding are those who have completed at least one EPC contract within the last ten years.
PLN shall finance the project using PLN own budget.
PLN set registration date on Dec. 30, 2016 – Jan. 27, 2017 and submit the documents to PLN’s head office [PLN (Persero) Head Office, c/o Procurement Officer for Mobile Power Plant Nias (25MW)]. The proposal shall be submitted by Jan. 30, 2017.
